The Serbian Writers Association typically bestows this honor upon Nobel Laureates, emphasizing Dr. Anand’s significant contribution to contemporary literature and ethics.
Dr. Maja Herman Sekulic, a renowned Serbian poet, regards Dr. Anand as a unique combination of a philosopher and a poet, recognizing him as “the greatest poet among philosophers and the greatest philosopher among poets.” This recognition places Dr. Anand in a favorable position for the Nobel Prize in Literature, much like Rabindra Nath Tagore.
The Mogul Of Contemporary World Literature
With an impressive bibliography of over 150 books spanning various genres, including poetry, fiction, non-fiction, philosophy, spirituality, critical theory, politics, and eco-consciousness, Dr. Anand’s work has garnered attention in Iran. Four of his books have been translated into Persian, and the Department of English at the University of Neyshabur conducted a research project on his poetry, comparing it to the works of renowned Iranian poets Sohrab Sepehri and Forugh Farrokhzad. Dr. Anand collaborated with Iranian scholar Dr. Roghayeh Farsi to co-innovate the theory of Bio-text, resulting in 15 articles written by Dr. Farsi on his books.
Notably, Dr. Anand’s book “Beyond Life Beyond Death” has been compared to T.S. Eliot’s “The Waste Land,” while his magnum opus, “Bliss: The Ultimate Magic,” has drawn comparisons to Kahlil Gibran’s renowned work, “The Prophet.” Professor Nargues Mohammadi from the University of Mashad has translated both “Bliss” and “I Belong to You,” two of Dr. Anand’s spiritual works, into Persian. Additionally, his novel “The Broken Narrative” has already been translated into Persian, and the translation of “Lustus” by Dr. Roghayeh Farsi is awaiting publication.
One of Dr. Anand’s most significant literary contributions is the Mahakaal Trilogy, consisting of three parts. Part I introduces Lustus, the embodiment of evil and the Prince of Darkness. Critics have drawn parallels between “Lustus: The Prince of Darkness” and John Milton’s “Paradise Lost,” emphasizing Lustus as the contemporary counterpart to Satan in the 17th century. While Satan represented passive devilry of that time, Lustus embodies the monstrous Penumbra that the contemporary world seeks—a remorseless Corporate of Evil. The other two parts of the Mahakaal Trilogy are “The Dominion of the Netherworld” and “The Ultronic Age.”
In addition to the Mahakaal Trilogy, Dr. Anand has authored several notable works, including “Geet: The Unsung Song of Eternity,” “The Satanic Empire,” “The Mahabharta,” “The Master,” “The Ganterbury Tales,” and “Plague: The Metaphor is Dead.” Notably, Dr. Anand has also introduced and published the poetry of various poets from countries such as Poland, Tunisia, Argentina, Greece, among others.
Dr. Anand gained widespread recognition with the establishment of the International Academy of Ethics, which serves as a precursor to the University of Ethics, developed by the Aazaad Foundation [Regd]. The International Academy of Ethics aims to establish branches in different countries and is currently in the process of forming Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with universities and educational institutions. The academy intends to make Ethics a compulsory course in all studies, starting with a mission called “E FOR ETHICS,” with the goal of instilling ethical values in the minds of young children. The academy boasts international scholars as World Ambassadors and distinguished scholars from various countries on its roster.
In February 2016, Dr. Anand visited Italy, and in November 2016, he traveled to Nigeria. He currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at the World Institute of Peace in Nigeria. Furthermore, he was appointed as a Professor Emeritus at the European Institute of Roma Studies and Research in Belgrade. In 2022, Dr. Anand was honored as the recipient of the Kafka Literary Prize. Additionally, he served as the Secretary General of the World Parliament of Literature and received the Cross of Peace and Cross of Literature from the World Union of Poets in Italy. The Art4Peace Foundation in the USA recognized his accomplishments with The Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dr. Anand firmly believes that the knowledge-driven by Artificial Intelligence has disrupted the mental, physical, and spiritual equilibrium of humanity. He holds the view that the original intelligence essential for a balanced life resides in the realms of vegetation, animals, and birds. However, humanity has deviated from this benevolent course by pursuing knowledge, resulting in the loss of innocence, peace, and happiness. Dr. Anand refers to the world of nature as the First World, which has been overshadowed by the human world, considered the Second World. He asserts that the salvation of humanity lies in reversing this process of alienation from nature.
To convey his philosophy of evil, Dr. Anand portrays Lustus’s efforts to develop a “homovid vaccination” for animals, aiming to instill in them human vices such as craftiness, greed, and jealousy.
Considering the extensive body of creative work that Dr. Anand has produced, with over 150 books to his name, it is evident that he stands unmatched in India and perhaps even internationally in terms of his prolific output.
Oh Jernail, beloved of Calliope and chosen by Saraswati,
Poems flow to your pen like pins to a magnet,
Your diverse and felicitous diction, marked by simplicity,
Enthralls and captivates your readers,
Your inherent humility and goodness,
Infuse your essence with magnetic resonance,
The essence of a natural genius, a poet,
In whom the creative poetic cosmos
Resembles a vast galactic expanse!
May the Divine bestow upon your poetic power
An unfathomable blend of diversity and simplicity.
Dr. Anand’s extensive contributions to both creative and critical aspects of literature, as well as his endeavors in promoting world peace, fostering international understanding, advocating cosmic brotherhood, emphasizing human love, highlighting ecological concerns, and delving into political theory, have solidified his position as a monumental figure of our time. His establishment of the University of Ethics stands as a lasting contribution that will continue to cast a significant influence in the future. It is a moment of great pride for India, particularly his home state of Punjab, to celebrate his colossal stature and achievements in the realm of world literature.
