“A Wrinkle in Time” is a famous science fiction\/fantasy novel written by Madeleine L’Engle. It was first published in 1962 and has since become a beloved classic of children’s literature. The story follows the adventures of Meg Murry, her younger brother Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin O’Keefe as they journey through space and time to rescue Meg and Charles Wallace’s father.

The plot revolves around the mysterious disappearance of Mr. Murry, a renowned scientist, who has been studying time travel and the concept of tesseracts, which are shortcuts through the universe. Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin are joined by three supernatural beings known as Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which, who help them in their quest to find Mr. Murry.

The children travel through different dimensions, encountering strange planets and encountering various challenges. They confront a dark force called the “Black Thing” or “IT,” which seeks to control people’s minds and erase individuality. Meg discovers her own strengths and learns to harness the power of love and self-acceptance to overcome the darkness.
