\u00a0<\/span><\/b>It<\/span> is<\/span> the<\/span> first<\/span> and<\/span> thoughtless<\/span> level<\/span> of<\/span> teaching.<\/span> It<\/span> is<\/span> concerned<\/span> with<\/span> memory<\/span> or<\/span> mental<\/span> ability<\/span>that <\/span>exists in all living beings. Teaching at memory level is considered to be the lowest level of teaching. At this<\/span> level,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>The thinking ability does not play any role.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a01.<\/span><\/span><\/b>Useful<\/span> for<\/span> children<\/span>at<\/span> lower<\/span> classes.<\/span>This<\/span> is<\/span> because<\/span> of<\/span> their<\/span> intellect<\/span> us<\/span> under<\/span> development<\/span> and <\/span>they have a rote<\/span> memory.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span>The role of the teacher is important in this level of teaching and he is free to make choices of subject<\/span> matter,<\/span> plan<\/span> it<\/span> and<\/span> can<\/span> present<\/span> it<\/span> at<\/span> will.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span>The knowledge acquired at memory level teaching forms a basis for the future i.e. <\/span>when <\/span>student\u2019s intelligence and thinking is<\/span> required.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4.<\/span>Memory level teaching acts as the first step for understanding and reflective levels of teaching.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>It is pre-requisite for understanding level<\/span> teaching.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Demerits of memory level teaching<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/b>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>This does not contribute to the development of the student\u2019scapabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span> Since at this level student learns by rote, the knowledge gained does not prove helpful in real <\/span>lifesituations as it does not develops the talents of students.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>The pupils are kept in strict discipline and cramming is insisted on this teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n

At this level <\/span>of <\/span>teaching, the teacher explains the student about the relationship between principles and <\/span>facts\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span>and teaches them how these principles can be applied.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>Memory level teaching barrier <\/span>is <\/span>essential<\/span> to<\/span> be<\/span> crossed<\/span> for<\/span> this<\/span> level<\/span> of<\/span> teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n

Merits of the understanding level of teaching<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/b>This level is also known as introspective level. Reflecting on something means giving careful thought to something over a period of time. It also means thinking deeply about something.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>The teaching at this level is not teacher-centered or subject-centered, it is leaner-centered.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>There is an interaction between the teacher and the taught at the reflectivelevel teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>At this level, teaching is appropriate for the higher class.<\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>At this level, teaching is highly thoughtful and useful than the teaching at the memory or <\/span>understanding level.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Demerits of reflective level teaching<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Not suitable for small children at the lower level of teaching. It is suitable only for mentally matured children<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>At this level, the study material is neither organized nor pre-planned. Therefore students cannot acquire systematicand organized knowledgeof their study courses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adolescent social development is often described as the process of establishing a sense of identity and establishing a role and purpose. It is an outward sense of oneself. Body image is a key factor in developing a sense of self and identity, especially for girls, and the family and increasingly peers play an important role assisting and supporting the adolescent to achieve adult roles.<\/p>\n
